Our Board of Advisors is composed of nationally and internationally distinguished leaders who provide invaluable experience in guiding the company's strategies for success.
Joseph Kittinger, III, MD, FACP: received his B.A. from the University of Colorado, Boulder, CO, and his M.D. from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, AR. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock, AR, and a Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC.
Dr. Kittinger is Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Nancy Hauge: Ms. Hauge is a 20-year veteran of Silicon Valley and the Founder and Managing Partner of 54th Street Partners, a venture consulting firm with offices in San Francisco, CA; Dublin, Ireland; and now Wilmington. 54th Street has provided start-up support to over 45 venture-backed firms over the past 4 years.
Prior to 54th Street, Ms. Hauge held senior human resources, strategic planning and operations roles in 7 start-ups with 3 IPO's and 4 successful mergers to show for her efforts. These firms included: Sorcim, Sun Microsystems, Gymboree, MSL, Noah's New York Bagels, Ridge Technologies and Crag Technologies (the last three she co-founded).
In addition to her role with 54th Street Partners, Ms. Hauge is a General Partner in the Global Accelerator, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on enterprise software and digital media technology.
A sought after public speaker, Ms. Hauge's work in organizational dislocation, humor in the workplace and social consciousness in business has been recognized by graduate schools, public companies and national publications. She is the 2003-2004 President of the Coastal Entrepreneurial Council. A former Regent of Holy Names College, she studied Acting and Playwriting at the Goodman School of Drama and The Art Institute of Chicago.
William McNulty, MD, FACP: Dr. McNulty received his B.S. from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC, and his M.D. from the University of South Carolina School Of Medicine, Columbia, SC. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC, and further training in oncology from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC.
Dr. McNulty is Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology by the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. McNulty has also served as President of the Board of the Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
Robert S. Rippy: Mr. Rippy brings 25 years of experience in raising private equity for growing businesses. A scientist by education, Bob taught briefly in the North Carolina public schools before joining EF Hutton & Co. in 1980.
With Hutton and subsequently Shearson Lehman and Paine Webber, Mr. Rippy led the Private Investment Group practice on the East Coast. His investment banking and marketing teams created innovative financial structures and raised over $5 billion in numerous private placement transactions for Fortune 500 clients.
Raised in North Carolina, Mr. Rippy is an entrepreneur at heart and has owned private businesses throughout his career. He is currently the owner of one of the largest family entertainment centers in North Carolina.
An active community leader, he serves on the Board of Cape Fear Community College, where he was Chairman from 2000 until 2002, and the Cameron Museum of Art, and on the Board of the International Association of Amusement Parks.
